Easter and Las Vegas
Darcy had her first sleepover last week. She stayed with Jeremy's parents while Jeremy and I took a 2-night trip to Las Vegas to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary and my 30th birthday. She had a blast playing with her Bebe, Granddaddy, Aunt Brandi, and her cousin SkyyLee. I am sure they are still worn out from the week because she is always on the go. She LOVES buddy (the dog). She calls him "Bubby", and it is adorable to hear her say it.
Jeremy and I saw Penn & Teller and The Fremont Experience while we were in Vegas. We spent a few hours at the MGM poolside during the day. We didn't gamble too much during this trip which is probably a good thing for our bank accounts. We were so happy to get home to Darcy, but to our surprise, she wasn't at The Ray house when we got there! She, SkyyLee, and Granddaddy had just left the house for a trip to the park. We quickly met them at the park because we missed her so much!
Sunday we celebrated Easter with Jeremy's family with brunch and an egg hunt. It was Darcy's first egg hunt, and she seemed to find her eggs with just a little help from all of us. She found six large plastic eggs with Sesame Street characters inside. She got two Easter baskets (one from mom & dad bunny and one from Bebe & Granddaddy bunny). She really liked the Elmo basket she got because that is her favorite character.
Darcy is almost 18 months old. She is growing each and every day. She is learning new words all the time, and continues to use her signs if she can't say the word. She is doing lots of art projects at school that now adorn our refrigerator. Her most recent one was a lady bug made out of construction paper. She is looking forward to her Grandma Cici coming to visit next week.
